A long time ago, someone said to me, "Marisa, you're a storyteller." Of all the words that I can use to describe myself, I keep coming back to that one: storyteller. I love the story of life. I love the little, seemingly insignificant moments that are so profound. That moment when you realize you've met the love of your life. The moment you hold your child for the first time. The day you spend with your aging mother. The morning you spent baking zucchini muffins with your three-year-old and there is more batter on you than in the muffin tin. These are the things that makes life meaningful. 

As a storyteller, I collaborate with my clients to create special moments of connection. Celebrating and documenting couples, families, children are my specialties. 

I believe that photography should seek to find the beauty and importance in all of us. I look for real moments, authentic emotions and true inner beauty in every session I photograph.
